Now that you mention it, I do recall being told there was a foundry there.

Dave,

Wasn't there a foundry at the Aurora Shops?  I seem to remember it being
just Southeast of the intersection of Pierce Street and the West Chicago
branch at the north end of the shops.  If memory serves, it was still
there, and active, into (at least) the mid-sixties.
