For Sale: Burlington Route October-December 1948 public
system passenger timetable, 36 pages. This is a rare TT and is
in EXCELLENT/MINT CONDITION. This is the last year that the
classic cover is used with early shovel-nose Zephyr on one side
of cover and standard steam passenger train on the other side.
This is also the last year for the Exposition Flyer which is carrying
both standard cars and streamlined cars. (The California Zephyr
will begin service in 1949). The Oriental Limited is also listed.
Interesting ad: "Coming soon...The Vista-Dome California
Zephyr." In addition to the fleet of Zephyrs and standard trains,
many branch line and mixed trains are listed. I accept a check or
