Unlike the other CB&Q owned equipment for the NCL the Slumber Coaches were
not painted but carried the stainless steel finish also the Slumber Coaches
unlike the Dome Coaches, Dome Sleepers, and the Dinning cars, the Slumber
Coaches
all had the standard Budd fluting. The CB&Q owned Budd equipment used on the
GN trains also had the modified fluting.
