According to the map in the EHRS Bulletin on the West Towns, the line went
east on Stanley all the way to Ridgeland, turned north to 26th Street where
it went east to Central, jogged north to 25th Street and east to Cicero
Avenue and connected up to the north wtih the North-South line on that
street. The map shows the track going from single to double just after
making the turn from Harlem to Stanley. It also shows a spur going north a
couple of blocks that was abandoned. The line south of the CB&Q
tracks was also double track and the map shows a derail protecting both
approaches to the CB&Q....wonder how a derail works in street trackage!!
So the West Towns Lyons Line served all Three Berwyn stops.... Harlem
Avenue, Berwyn, and LaVerne!
