Chris,

All the manufacturing in that era would be along the section as the Q 
went out of north St. Louis. I have some materials I will send you off 
line that I think you will find helpful. If you check the society web 
page, you will find the OpSig industry list culled just for the CB&Q.

The Union Electric plant opened in the middle 1960s and was the first 
unit coal train on the Q.
