A new data table has been loaded on the "Directories" page of the BRHS web site
entitled "Industries Served by the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy. Much of
this table was diligently compiled by Rupert Gamlen. I have reformatted the
information and supplemented the table with data from the 1943 Track Alignment
Charts for the Creston Division, as well as with information drawn from Sanborn
Insurance Maps for Creston and the various towns along the Red Oak to Hamburg
branch. We welcome additions/corrections to the table. You will note there is
a column entitled "Period of Operation." Unfortunately, that data field is
presently empty. Any information members can provide for that column would be
greatly appreciated.
We hope the new table provides useful historical data for our members; it
should also prove useful for those modeling the CB&Q.
Please note the file is rather large, approaching 2 MB, so it will take a while
to load.
