I had the pleasure of hearing #4000 and her whistle under steam twice, 
both times in 1956. The first occurred when she pulled the Chicago - 
Aurora and return portion of the Chicago - Streator fantrip in early 
September. The second time occurred as she was pulling an eastbound 
freight to Chicago later that year. She was the only hudson that we saw 
in freight service that year (however, there may have been others that 
we missed).
