There is a scrap yard in St Cloud, "Phillips Iron & Metal" I think,
that must bid on every waycar BNSF offers. Always a few around.
Don't know whether they cut them up or retain them for sale but
if you see one in St Cloud it generally means it's sold. Looks
like they load a couple of cars of scrap out every day.
Right now the active waycars at St Cloud are the 12501,12587.
Neither of these could be in CB&Q paint.
Can not find any scrappers in the yard right now. Might be
already spotted and deleted.
In their yard for scrapping are ATSF 601054,601102,BN 244880,
BNSF 423472. There are 7 loads of scrap to be pulled.
Midway Iron & Metal also loads out by rail but have not noticed
any railroad equipment being spotted there.

Son Lee was coming back from Glacier area over the holidays & noted a Q
waycar in silver paint, red lettering, etc on track opposite
the depot in St. Cloud (no, did not have his camera @ the ready!) - there are
wrecked frt cars nearby and more on a siding West of St.
Cloud - apparently from a recent derailment. Anyone know anything about the
