If anything a 2-10-4 from Broadway is possibly a more likely model than a
Hudson or O5. If you do a 2-10-4 you can make them for early CB&Q, B&LE, and
MIssabe. If you offer one with different boiler details and a disc driver you
can make the modernized M4a (not sure about different rods).
The Nickle Plate Products and LMB Kumata built M4s are still plentiful and
relatively cheap for a brass model if someone wants to make a decent looking
runner. These models are still missing the main disc driver and probably some
other things that are prototypical. Has anyone combined a Missabe / B&LE
version of the locomotive with a CB&Q tender to make the early version of the
M4s?
Neat engine but you use two models to make one model unless you can somehow
get your hands on an extra B&LE loco and "Q" tender.
