While on the subject of EMD pilots; I have noticed that the first set of PRR
E7s and the first batch of B&M E7s came with what looks like a FT open
pilot.
I think the F2s were delivered with FT style pilots as well.  The FT pilot
varies a little from the later "freight" or open pilot, especially in the
area of the step at the rear corners.
Has anybody researched this?
