Howdy gentlemen,
My name is Drew Krager, and I am living in Bensenville, IL (a suburb
of Chicago), while attending college. At this college I have been
requested to do a research paper and I am reporting on the CB&Q (and
at the same time brainstorming for my future layout!). I would like to
do a history of CB&Q/BN, using their decisions as a basis for a
present day CB&Q paint scheme. I am wondering if any of you would
have any suggestions as to where I could find information about either
railroad; why it purchased the equiptment it did; the merger,
specifically why it happened and why they called it what they did:
Burlington Northern. Any information, be it books, journals or simply
talking to a knowledgable person, would be greatly apperciated!
