The Empire Builder domes were delivered in 1955. If I remember correctly,
they were worked into the consists as delivered. When the full domes were
delivered the "Mountain" series observations with the large windows, were
relegated to the Western Star and replaced with the "Coulee" series
observations which were basically sleepers with a very small observation
lounge.
