I hate to dish on new models but when an ABA set of F3's are going to cost
upwards of $350.00 they should be correct.
Looking at the Intermountain web site I see three major problems with the new
Burlington F3's. First off no steam generators, second the nose strips
continue up along the outsides of the numberbaords, and third from what I saw
Intermaountain is selling the F's in AB sets only.
After 1950 9960-9962ABC were the only Burlington F's that had the added roof
grabs like the E units, along of course with the grabs up the nose which all
the F's recieved.
The Intermountain F's are a good start for a set of diesels on the Q that
were quite unique. I always liked the shots I have of them on freight prior to
them being repainted in the gray. Of course they also looked great on the Expo
and later on the CZ!
