Hi Folks!
Just wanted to drop a line out to let you know that IRM has aquired
and received the Silver Ridge. There is a picture posted at the IRM
website, www.irm.org in the picture gallery. (Either browse 2003
pictures or search on 493)
I took a fairly good look at the car and it's in really good shape.
You will notice that the car still has it's skirts on.... And they all
work properly so we have access to the mechanicals :)
The interior isn't in too bad a shape, Amtrak used this car in service
and it appears they did add their touches to the decor.
Also, if you look through the 2002 picture gallery a couple of night
shots of the Nebrask Zephyr were added... pretty cool shots since
most of our pictures are done during the day ;)
