My wife too kind of shakes her head with things said and done by
Marines. She is from Denmark where I spent two miserable years (Ha!)
in Copenhagen, Denmark as a Marine Security Guard in the American
Embassy. We met and married there.
She is very understanding of this 'railroad' thing as she doesn't
mind when we travel and I find a steamer on display and stop and
take many pictures and measurements. Bente will knit or read a book
while I spend a couple of hours doing what any normal railroad nut
would do when railroad equipment appears on the scene.
BTW, MCRD San Diego is where REAL Marines start!
