The Q box car shown in the pic with Ahnapee & Western loco is a 50'
that Ambroid did a craftsmen kit of - these were last Q boxcars built,
as it were, for grain loading. However in later years grain had gone
completely to hoppers so many of this series were in foodstuffs
service such as cereal boxes from General Mills plants, the one in
West Chicago being a prime example. I would guess it's use @ Cisco in
mid-70's was either a) shortage of grain hoppers or b) was bringing
grain from an elevator that didn't handle coverered hoppers. Gerald
