As a kid growing up in Berwyn, I remember 2 shanties. One on Harlem Ave was
raised. The one at the Berwyn station, Oak Park Ave, did not have a raised
shanty. I don't remember if the crossing "garde" was located inside the
depot or not, there are actually 2 streets that cross on either side of the
station. The other 2 crossing in Berwyn were at East Ave and LaVergne
(Ridgeland Ave). Although I lived on East Ave, I don't remember how this was
handled. I don't remember any shantys at either location.
