I just signed on as a member a few days ago. I'm looking for some information
on how to find who might have been employed with the CB&Q in the late 1870s
and 1880s. Looking for my great-grandfather, Joseph T. Rush, whom we think may
have worked for the railroad. On the IA. census it stats he was a "engineer
stu. or sta." Do you know what these may mean? He lived in Mt. Ayr, IA.
