I'm working on some models of heavyweight passenger equipment and am trying to sort out the paint practices that would have been in use during the mid-1930's. On all-steel cars, would the roof have been painted pullman green or black? What about the trucks and underframe? Was the lettering on all cars the gold leaf color, or was dulux being used on head-end or other equipment? For HO scale, is the Champ set the only source for appropriate lettering, or is there a better alternative? Thanks in advance. Kind regards, Rob Adams |
