The only N scale square end lightweight observation car was the original MRC
Sleeper Lounge Observation, based on a B&O 5 Bedroom, Buffet Observation
(i.e. "Metcalf" "Dana", etc.)
Member John Wegner used one of the MRC body shells to kitbash a model of the
"Kansas City Zephyr" in N Scale featuring Vista Dome Parlor Observation
"Silver Terrace", which he displayed at the Kansas City Convention a number
of years ago. He incorporated a ConCor Budd roof and Dome section. Added
corruguted skirts using Williams Corrugation and other parts. It came out
pretty sharp. But more work than you may want to invest.
As the Denver Zephyr did operate often in Coach and Pullman, 1st and 2nd
Sections. Occassionally the 88' Budd Diner - Parlor Observations did carry
the markers on the Coach section sometimes. So if you use a Kato Diner
Parlor Obs, you would still be operating prototypically. (Also the center
door is not for the Kitchen, but rather is a center vestibule.)
