Thomas, I agree, and I think Chris made a good call. Better to be safe than
sorry at this unfortunate time in our countries history. If this person is
a real railfan, I don't think he would be too upset answering a few
questions as to why he wants this general information...and I think it
should be a law enforcement officer who asks the questions, not one of us.
I was out the other day here in Raleigh NC doing some spotting, and was
wondering if I might get a visit by the local constabulary for my
efforts...but the engineers just waved at me and nobody else said a thing.
I was in the military as well, and it behooves people to be a bit wary at
times like these...after all, had someone not lost a report from an FBI
agent questioning why all these Middle Easterners with possible terrorist
connections were learning to fly airplanes...
