Norm,
I suggest buying Vols. 4 & 5 of the Northern Pacific Pictorials by John
F. Strauss Jr., published by Four Ways West. Although these cover the
passenger service of the NP- they also have chapters on connecting lines and
especially on the Billings, Mt. connections with the 'Q'. Vol 4 has some
really good shots of the Alliance-Billings trains as well as the
Denver-Casper-Billings trains. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw, just
how much CB&Q information, these volumes provided us 'Q' fanatics!
