My question now is, other than the Twin Cities Zephyr, what freight routes would have existed in Minnesota in the mid-fifties? I really do not know where to look for this information in the area I live in.

Hi Wally,

I'm not conversant on the 'Q up that way since my current area of modeling interest is in the locale "somewhere" between Chicago and Galesburg, but I recall recently reading about trains of coal from the Beardstown Division and the coal fields there, coming up your way through Savanna. Others more knowledgeable on the subject can fill you in on the particulars, or correct me if I'm wrong. Either way, we'll both benefit !

Keep us posted on your progress.
