FYI to 3-rail O-gauge Q fans regarding recent announcements of MTH
Electric Trains' 2003/Volume 1 Catalog BR/CB&Q products.
This is an anformational post from an "individual BRHS member". I am
not part of any "commercial enterprise" for the sale of RR models or
any RR merchandise. This post is in the same member-to-member spirit
of the product offerings in the Zephyr newsletter and on the BRHS web
page.
MTH posted their 2003/Volume 1 catalog on their website (www.mth-
railking.com)in the last week. Here are their BR/CB&Q related
offerings:
- Premier CB&Q FT ABA grayback set. MSRP= $650. I saw the
preproduction model at the Rosemont, IL show and it looked good. A
units numbered 110-A and 110-B. The herald has the red border (last
year's F3 ABA grayback had a white border).
- Premier SP&S Boxcar, 2-#s, MSRP= $40 each.
- Premier CB&Q Chinese Red DD Boxcar, 2-#s, MSRP= $45 each.
- Premier Wilson Reefer, 2-#s, MSRP= $43 each.
- Premier Morrell Meats Reefer, 2-#s, MSRP= $43 each.
- Premier CB&Q 20K Gallon 4-Compartment Tank Car, 2-#s, MSRP= $45.
This may be a fantasy scheme in Chinese red. Did CB&Q even have this
type of tank car?
- Premier CB&Q 4-B Hopper with coal load. Black. 2-#s. MSRP= $40.
- RailKing CB&Q 50' DD Plugged Boxcar. Red w/white doors. 1-#.
MSRP= $35.
- RailKing Swift Reefer, red. 1-#. MSRP= $35.
- RailKing GN Trailer on Flat car.
- RailKing GN Die-Cast Boxcar.
- RailKing NP Die-Cast 4-B Hopper.
FYI only. See MTH or your dealer for more details.
