I used to visit the Black Hills, and spent some time in Rapid City back in 
the 50's and 60's. I remember seeing interesting remains of the old ng on 
the mountainsides -- remains of old trestles, embankments, etc. Is there 
anything remaining today? Any attempts to preserve anything?
