witness the arrival of 261 and the NRHS fantrip from Chicago.

MODEL TRAIN AND RAILROADIANA SHOW AT CARL SANDBURG COLLEGE

paticipate in the Show. There are 75 vendors from 14 states with
285 tables of railroad "goodies". A $4.00 admission also includes a
couple of extras.

Saturday 5:00 PM in the College Theatre, Jim Boeger of the Northwestern
Illinois Chapter NRHS, will do a slide show "Railfanning in the Great

photos featured in the Union Pacific company calendar for the past
several years.

encourage the next generation of railfans.

Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Lecture Hall (C102): Professor Donald Q Lamb
of the University of Chicago will present an illustrated lecture,
"Building the Santa Fe "Airline" from Kansas City to Chicago". This was
the program at the BRHS/SFHMS joint meeting this spring in Streator.
The Knox County Historical Society in conjunction with the Carl
Sandburg College Foundation are sponsoring this talk.

The Lecture Hall only has 88 seats so get there early or be perpared to
stand. We expect a big turnout of local folks from the Historical
Society for this event.

Want to see it all?...Get a two day pass (wristband) on Saturday for
only Five Bucks!

Any questions about any of this message me at <harryg@g...>
