Greetings..
I have a question which I hope someone can help me with, regarding
some custom decorated CB&Q 40' gold RPI Award boxcars I'm
currently working on.
I'm creating the artwork for these cars and have run into a
road number problem. Apparently there were 8 individual cars painted
in this lettering, three of which have been released on boxcars by
Accurail and Athearn. These previously released numbers are: 17786,
17302, and 61417.
I know of one other number which has not been released, 60682, but
would like to print 2 additional unreleased road numbers.
Does anyone have any idea what the other 4 road numbers might be?
I've had no luck whatsoever finding this information on the web and
even the article in the Burlington Bulletin #7 doesn't have any info
on the 'missing four'.
My alternatives are:
- Print only one road number.
- Choose two numbers from what is assumed to be the correct number
series of the XM-32s that were being reshopped (AKA 'Best Guess')
I'm actually hoping to print these cars this coming week, so any
information would be most welcome.
