Nebraska City (As of 1931) had a Kerr style coaling station (1 of 4 on the Q
- the others being Red Oak, Farmington & Van Wert). It was a 40 ton capy.,
23' x 47' of wood frame construction, blt in 1900 by the Q. It served 1
track with bituminous coal averaging 21 tons per day. Fire protection was
via a hydrant - sand was supplied by a bin on a trestle.
Got into this string late - which town was in question on the initial
request? Gerald Edgar
