I too am a member of the List and the BRHS.
As to Yahoo, I have discovered you do not have to fill out the profile
fully. ie they only have my name (which is what Dave asked for). Further
they recently changed everyone's email to one that receives all yahoo
generated spam. To eliminate the spam you have to go into the yahoo groups
listing, check on your membership profile, find the list of "acceptable"
spam and mark each box individually so as to not accept any yahoo sent
messages.
Another trick to eliminate unwanted spam is to check you BRHSlist for a
daily summary digest (that is if you are patient and willing to read the
messages up to 24 hours later). The summary digest automatically removes all
advertising and attachments. Virtually eliminates spam and viruses.
