Gerald,
As you may have noticed on the list, my layout is a depiction of Keokuk,
Iowa in the early sixties. I still haven't figured out how to model the
Hubbinger plant and its track but the space at the back of my yard is
waiting. Any information you could give me on any of Hubbinger's cars would
be of tremendous interest and value to me -- both on the insulated boxcars
and any other private rolling stock they had. I suspect that tank cars were
also owned by the company. Could I ask you to take a look at your slides
and give me an indication of when the car was built? If they were in
existence in the early sixties (some RBL cars certainly were) then I could
always back-date the car by adding a roof-walk and tall ladders (if these
were part of the car initially).
Thank you for your reply.
Duncan Cameron
