Dave,
>From this lister, the lack of participation in polls thus far is definately
>not
from a lack of interest in Bulletin reprints, but rather from the poll
procedure.
The only time I ventured into any yahoogroup activities brought such an
onslaught of spam (much of it identified by yahoo. addresses) that I vowed
never again to reveal my address while linked into their site. I know that
they maintain that they do not sell access or address lists, but the evidence
otherwise was (to me) vastly more than coincidental.
On the issue of reprints - Yes, I would like to be able to obtain copies of
many of the issues which were published before I joined the Society. If the
most economical way to make them available were on CD RM, that would certainly
be acceptable. In my genealogical pursuits, I have purchased several .pdf
image file books on CD ROM and have been very pleased with that format. The
word "search" function of the .pdf format also is a great help with research.
I realize that I could have 'clicked' on the poll in much less time than it
took me to respond here, but hope that you realize my reluctance to participate
in the poll is not necessarily any indication of lack of interest in the
subject or the result.
Thanks for the opportunity to express my view on the reprint issue.
Please understand that this is in no way an attempt to start a referendum or
thread or yahoo.groups or spam, but rather my personal communications
preference.
Thanks,
Roger Hanson

P.S. - Dave, Rich - I received my BRSH calendar over the weekend. Thanks for
the extra service. I'm now looking forward to the Bulletin.
