I've decided that my basement will not accommodate an O scale reproduction of
Chicago Union Station (Sorry, Rich G.). Instead, I am working on a module of
a small town depot area. Working at what seems like glacial speed, anyway.
I have a combination passenger/freight station built. I have a small shed
constructed as well for the section gang.
My question is this: What other small structures to I need to support the
depot and agent? There's no soil stack on the station to indicate indoor
plumbing, so I'll need a privy. And I believe another small shed to house
coal or wood for the depot stove. Anything else I am missing?
There are a lot of the depots that have been saved, but there's no trace of
the support structures anymore. And the smaller structures often don't show
in pictures of the depot and trains.
