Atlas-O (www.atlaso.com) recently announced Burlington (CB&Q) outside
braced boxcars in 2-rail O-scale (MSRP $53) and 3-rail O-gauge (MSRP
$50). These come in 4 road numbers. June 2002 is the planned
release at thi time.
The website does not show a drawing or photo. However, Atlas-O
usually does a fantastic and prototypical job with the paint scheme
details.
Were all of the Q's outside braced boxcars mineral red with white
lettering and the "Everywhere West" scripted slogan on the sides as
shown in M. Spoor's "Color Guide to CB&Q Freight & Passenger
Equipment" ? Were there either variations or other paint schemes for
these ?
A few years back, Weaver did CB&Q outside braced boxcars in Chinese
red with black lettering. Does anyone know what road numbers Weaver
offered ?
