Does the Burlington depot in E. Alton still exist? I was in E. Alton this
past weekend exploring the sourthern end of the St. Louis - Beardstown sub.
and came across the depot on Shamrock St. at Dry Street. Even though the
depot was not the typical Burlingon depot with the bay window, the depot was
adjacent to the right of way where the line diverted away from the NYC to
pass around Olin Brass before crossing the Wood River up to Brighton.
I'm currently modelling this line (in N-scale) focusing on the line between
Piasa and Rockbridge and wonder if anyone in the group is familar with this
part of the Q?
