Ken, thanks for the response on my question about Peoria. I suspect the
comment about the schedule in PFE being a little confusing and more of
reference to 7 days to Peoria may be correct. But there is also a lot of
discussion in the book about enroute diversions and if your the shipper
trying to market the load a little sidetrip via Peoria might work.
The abbreviation CPT stands for Chicago Produce Terminal,it was the major
produce terminal in the city.Owned by ATSF and IC but also just about
everbody delivered into there. Of course there was also the CNW Wood St
Potato yard and the Water Street Produce Market(still around and being pushed
out by University of Chicago expansion).
