Greetings,
I was poking around yesterday at the local train store and came across a
new (at least to me) model in HO by Roundhouse (MDC). It is a kit of a two
bay covered hopper with round roof hatches, painted a weird brownish color
which is supposed to be, I guess, mineral red, and is stenciled "When Empty
Return To CB&Q RR At Wedron Or Ottawa ILL". I am therefore ASSuming this
is supposed to be one of the sand cars but I thought they had square roof
hatches. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone in the know on this list can
pass along if this car/color is at all prototypical for the CB&Q for at
least any time or service. If it helps the car no. is 181550.
Thanks and Happy Holidays to All!
