Hi All!
Well, my name has sure been used more in the last week than I have heard in as
many years. I have refrained from answering any correspondence in fear of
sending a virus that I was not aware of. Since the first posting of a problem,
we contacted a computer-guru, if you will, and had the software and hardware
checked. He found a virus which was not detected with my then current software.
A current application of Norton Anti-virus has been installed and did not
detect anything. I have not posted anything to the list or had not sent any
messages when the virus was detected. As stated earlier, these things start to
send without knowledge of any problems. Loren, thanks for the vote of
confidence, and I was not aware of any problem.
Please pass on any other problems you may experience from this mail box. Be
assured that I too do not like virus's and certainly do not wish to receive or
pass any on.
Thank You to all and have a very Merry Christmas.
PS Please keep the FDNY in your thoughts and prayers. There are many families
dealing with the holidays with out their loved ones, both at home and in the
firehouse. Also, thoughts and prayers to those who still dig, every day 24-7,
looking for their lost brothers and others. I was there on-site two weeks ago,
and what I saw has left me at a loss for words. I have served as a firefighter
for the past 29 years, and could not have prepared for what I experienced.
Please never forget them...
Tom Whitt
