While not directly connected to the CB&Q railroad, the Grier's Restaurants
were very present in several Burlington stations. I received a phone
question yesterday about when the Grier's closed in the Burlington, Iowa
station. That sparked a renewed interest in finding out more about the
Grier's chain.
Where was the first Grier's restaurant and when did it open?
Which Burlington stations had a Grier's Restaurant? When did they open?
When did they close?
Any ideas on where to look for this information?
