Waycar Color

To the BRHS list:

I was looking through the items posted on eBay today and discovered a HO
scale brass C.B.&Q. waycar. The waycar was painted a bright green
color. Did the Burlington really paint some of their waycars green? If
so, approximately how many were green, and why were they green? Below
