Several of the O3 mikes had Coffin FWH's. Check out engine 5320 of Corbin's
book on page 117. It says four of this class received this type of FWH but
that they were later removed. The authors also mention that "other" roads
Coffin FWH's were put inside the smokebox and were less conspicuous.
The text on page 115 backs up what Bill has said about the use of the
extended smokeboxes on Lines West engines for burning either lignite or
bituminous coal.
