Glad you mentioned track scale weighing of grain cars. Believe it or not 
track scales were not "official weights". They were just noted as track 
scales.

We could sometimes compromise claims on track scale to official weight points 
on clear record boxcars.

Shippers could sometimes be convinced that railroad track scale weights were 
not 100% reliable. Who'd a thunk it??
