Hi all,
I am currently designing a model railroad intended to model the
International Harvester factory in Canton, Illinois. It was served by the Q
and also the Toledo, Peoria and Western crossed the Q just south of the
factory.
Right now the plan is to model the plant in detail and to also represent
passenger and freight service the served Canton until the late 1950s.
Any info. concerning operations of the Q and TPW in, around and through
Canton, IL would be appreciated.
BTW, the town has done a beautiful job of restoring the old CBQ depot--and
though the factory suffered a devastating fire in 1997 the site is being
cleaned and one can still see many of the old buildings--
