Will anyone weigh-in with opinions regarding the relative merits of old
railroad pocket watches? While I am sure there were other brands (e.g.,
Bunn), Hamilton and Ball are the two with which I am most familiar. My
father always led me to believe that the Hamiltons were superior. However,
several checks of eBay over the last six months reveals that, while there
are more Hamiltons than Balls listed for sale there, they are currently of
roughly equal value as collectors? items. Anybody care to illuminate the
group on this matter?
