Bill, 100 jobs - 1st trick (shift), 200 jobs - 2nd trick and 300 jobs - 3rd trick. The same locos would be used for the different shifts. In 1950 there were 23 diesels assigned to the Chicago area, (1) 600 hp, (2) 900 hp, and (20) 1000 hp. This area covered more than just 14th Street, including Hawthorn, Clyde, and Cicero.
