The discussions regarding the new Stewart models made me remember an
article - and I have finally located it. In the Second Quarter 1945 volume
of the Baldwin magazine (published by, guess who? Baldwin Locomotive
Works), there is a two page article on "Baldwin Diesels at Galesburg".

The locomotives are shown, fresh out of the factory (9353 being a
representative unit), working a cut of 90 loaded coal cars; and freshly set
up at Galesburg. Obviously, in the original scheme. Very nice photos of
the rear of the unit, and a couple nice front/angled shots. "....operates
a total of thirty Baldwin-Westinghouse diesel-electric locomotives at
various points along their lines. Eight of these powerful, modern
switching and transfer locomotives are in service at the busy Galesburg,
Illinois, Yard".

Got white tires on your units? Might be (likely is) a builders photo, but
the background of the photo appears to be Galesburg.

Nice cars in the background - composite hoppers, GS gons, strings of single
sheathed cars...not much in the article per se, just typical PR stuff - the
four photos are nice!
