While we're on the subject: At NMRA meets, the models entered in the
model contest each have with them a sheet of information on the
prototype, how the model was constructed, the kit(s) used if it wasn't
scratchbuilt, commercial parts used, etc.
Is anything like this done at the BRHS meets?
If so, I'd surmise that the membership might be interested in at least
the "bare-bones" info --not a full construction article, but the kind of
info shared here about how the model was done. I've saved the Zephyr
pages with the photos of model contest winners, but it would be nice to
know if, for example, that model is something I might be able to do
myself, or whether it's (financially or motor-skill-wise) out of my
reach.
If it's not being done now, maybe the contest judges, or someone, could
get the info and forward it to the Zephyr editor.
Cheers,
