Listers, A friend has a layout based on the Santa Fe in 1958. The layout has an interchange planned in Galesburg with the CB&Q. He has asked a couple questions that I am sure you all can answer. In West Galesburg today there is a large Maytag factory complex, was this there in 1958? If it was there in 1958, was it served by the Q or ATSF? Did/does Maytag's steel go in in sheet or coil? My guess would be coil. Also can anybody comment on how much and what kind (if any) of interchange traffic the ATSF and CB&Q passed to each other in Galesburg in 1958? Thanks, Tom |
