I and my now 40 year old Son rode the 4960 up and down the Alliance yard
when Steve was about 2. We were visiting my folks and my Dad mentioned that
it was in so I took Steven down to see. The engineer was a friend of my
Dad's so he loaded us into the cab and away we went.
Got in trouble with his Mom when we came back covered with soot. Do have
some really great pictures (35mm) that I took that day.
