The November 1957 - April 1958 CB&Q Timetable list on page11, Train #41
between Kansas City and Omaha, Chair Coaches, Dining Car, and Observation
Lounge.
I'm assuming since trains #20 and #21 "The Silver Streak Zephyr" was
lightweight, most likely #41 was a heavyweight consist. Since the timetable
was not listing a Diner-Parlor car, what was the "Observation Lounge" car
between St. Joseph and Lincoln. Was it the former "Exposition Flyer" Omaha
Club or similar type car?
Looks like it went north on train #41 to Lincoln during the day, and returned
on train #44 overnight back to St. Joseph.
Does anyone have insight to this "Observation Lounge"
Thanks,
Hubert Hanrahan
