The UP has to make the bottom line. That is why they started out last month
laying off almost all the section people. Guess what, it snowed and there
isn't anyone around to dig out the switches. To sit and watch the big UP
grind to a virtual halt was something to see, I would rather not have. They
make decisions that baffle the mind and you wonder how they make any money.
You may be right about Eddyville as the UP loves to give up business as
they don't want to mess around with it. More could be said but this is the Q
list.
